Citing his long commitment to standing up on behalf of Missouri taxpayers and businesses, Associated Industries of Missouri has endorsed Peter's candidacy.

In a stunning and transparent act of hypocrisy, Democrat Sam Page made the outrageous claim today that he supports our Second Amendment rights BUT actually received failing grades from the National Rifle Association and consistently voted against gun rights legislation.

In stark contrast to Page, Republican Lt. Governor Peter Kinder has received national recognition from the NRA for his support of Second Amendment rights.

Peter understands that Missourians with Autism face daily challenges that only those individuals and their loved ones can truly understand.

That is why Peter believes it is vitally important that the state do everything it can to help those individuals, including children, and their families cope with Autism Spectrum Disorders.

As Chairman of the Missouri Tourism Commission, Peter will be in Springfield June 12 literally "pitching in" to help tourism in the state.

Along with hosting the Tourism Commission, Peter will be throwing out the ceremonial first pitch before the game between the Springfield Cardinals and the Northwest Arkansas Naturals.

Peter already has proven his commitment to tourism by hitting a home run with the Tour of Missouri bicycle race, so it's a good bet that Missourians can expect another strong showing from Peter at Hammons Field. Play Ball!

For the past three years, Peter has been an important part of Missouri's efforts to prevent elder abuse in our state. As the state's Senior Advocate, Peter has vowed to continue the battle against the physical and mental abuse, exploitation and neglect of Missouri's seniors.

As part of those efforts, Peter is asking Missourians to get their purple out on June 15 in recognition of World Elder Abuse Awareness Day. Peter is encouraging all Missourians to join the rest of the world in wearing purple to raise awareness of elder abuse across the country.

Peter along with many Missourians made it clear this week that Barack Obama's disparaging statements about those Americans living and working outside of liberal enclaves like San Francisco will not be tolerated.  And it appears our fine neighbors in Kansas feel the same way. In a move that would not have gone over well if it had happened yesterday in Missouri, NARAL Pro-Choice America today announced its support for Obama.

Peter will be standing up for hard-working Missourians today when Barack Obama brings his job-killing Show Me Tax Increases tour to Peter's hometown of Cape Girardeau. Peter is going to highlight Obama's numerous calls for higher income taxes, higher Social Security taxes, higher investment taxes and higher corporate taxes as well as Obama's call for massive new domestic spending.
